Angel was rescued from a pound and brought to J&K Canine Academy in North Florida. After months of extensive training, she, along with her Handlers, earned their certification from NESDCA, as a bed bug scent detection team. Angel now resides in Palm Beach Florida, where she is the only accredited NESDCA certified bed bug scent detection dog in South Florida as the star employee of K9 PI.

Until the mid 90's bed bugs were practically eliminated, however, due to the ban of DDT, these little blood suckers have re-surfaced. In recent years, the infestations have become so overwhelming causing an epidemic in many US regions. A high amount of reports have been found in New York City, New England, North Carolina, Florida and many other Easter Coastal States. It is scientifically proven that the use of a bed bug detection dog is not only safe, but it is the most reliable and most accurate way to detect bed bugs. Our dogs accurate at over 98%, where as human inspectors are only around 17-30% accurate at best. Our dogs (pepedogs) are the only bed bug dogs in the nation that will detect the odor of LIVE bed bugs and viable eggs. What does this mean for you, the consumer? Simply that our dogs are not going to alert on dead bugs, catskins, dead eggs, fecal matter, or other insects. |
